  • 15-Apr 2023: The paper “Power consumption of a quadrotor based on maneuvers” co-authored with P. Ganchaudhuri is accepted for presentation and publication in the proceedings of the 1st IEEE Guwahati Subsection Conference (GCON 2023), June 23 - 25, 2023.

  • 06-Apr 2023: The paper “Optimal singular LQR problem: A PD feedback solution” co-authored with I. Qais and D. Pal is accepted in SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization (SICON) for publication.

  • 13-Mar to 17-Mar 2023: Visited University of Capetown to conduct week long course on “Mathematics for Radar and Electronic Defense”.

  • 28-Aug 2022: The paper “Imaginary axis eigenvalues of Hamiltonian matrix: controllability, defectiveness and the epsilon-characteristic” co-authored with A. Kothiyari, M.N. Belur, and D. Pal is accepted for publication in International Journal of Control.

  • 11-Jul 2022: Delivered an invited talk titled “Control: Kaal, Aaj, aur Kaal” in Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, Assam Engineering College, Jalukbari.

  • 07-Jun 2022: The paper “Lossless trajectories of singularly passive systems” co-authored with M.N. Belur and D. Pal is accepted for presentation and publication in the proceedings of the 25th International Symposium on Mathematical Theory of Networks and Systems (MTNS 2022), 12-16 September 2022, Bayreuth, Germany.

  • 28-Mar to 01-Apr 2022: Delivered lectures as part of an online course “Mathematics for Radar and Electronic Defense” in University of Capetown along with Dr. Kuntal Deka.

  • 28-Feb 2022: The paper “A Hamiltonian system based approach for the computation of the maximal rank-minimizing solution of the LMI arising from a singular LQR problem” co-authored with I. Qais and D. Pal is accepted for presentation and publication in the proceedings of the 2022 European Control Conference (ECC), July 12-15, 2022.

  • 11-Sep 2020: Delivered an online invited talk (online) titled “A brief history of Feedback control” in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at University of Engineering & Management Kolkata.

  • 23-Aug 2020: Awarded the “Excellence in Ph.D. Research Award” for the year 2018-2020 by IIT Bombay.

  • 15-July 2020: Imrul Qais (Ph.D. research scholar at IIT Bombay), coauthor of the paper “A geometric characterization of the slow space of the Hamiltonian system arising from the singular LQR problem” presented our paper in IFAC World Congress 2020 held virtually.

  • 01-June 2020: Started the project “Testbed for vision-based control of unmanned vehicles” funded by IIT Guwahati under Institute Start-up grant.

  • 15-May 2020 - Presented my paper “PD controllers to solve single-input, index-1 DAE based LQR problems” in the European Control Conference (ECC) 2020 held virtually.

  • 01-Jan 2020 - Joined the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at IIT Guwahati as an Assistant Professor.

  • 20-Dec 2019 - Mousumi Mukherjee from the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay presented my paper “On Circulant Lyapunov Operators, Two-Variable Polynomials, and DFT” in the 6th Indian Control Conference at IIT Hyderabad, India.

  • 13-Dec 2019 - Presented my paper “On solvability of CGCARE for LQR problems with zero input-cost” in the 58th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control at Nice, France.

  • 10-Jun 2019 - Joined Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems as a Post-doctoral research fellow.

  • 05-Mar 2019 - Completed Ph.D. from Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay.
